HomeMy WebLinkAbout1000-35.-1-4 RECEIVED Town Clerk Southold January 24, 1986 Mr. Bennett Orlowski, Chairman Southold Town Planning Board Southold Town Hall Main Road Southold, New York 11971 Re: Change of Zone, Master Plan Update Dear Sir: I am the owner of the 5.7 acre parcel of vacant land shown on the enclosed print of a portion of the Suffolk County Tax Map, which I have shaded in red. The parcel is located in District 1000, Section 35, Block 1, Lot 4. I have owned it for upwards of 35 years. It is my request that before any action is taken on the Master Plan update the proposed new Zoning Map be changed to designate the above property as being in the Hamlet Density Residential Distric~ As I understand it, it falls well within the guidelines of Article IV of the proposed Local Law to implement the Master Plan Update. It is well within one half mile of the Village of Greenport boundary, and all utilities are available, except sewers. It would lend itself admirably to development for one half acre lots, which is consistent generally with the area surrounding it on the North.(I am informed that one half acre lots is the criteria for this density) In support of my position I would point out that the Proposed Zoning Update Map has made provision for the same density as I request. These areas include all or a portion of theBrecknock Hall area to the east of my parcel and four smaller parcels in the area adjacent to Moores Lane on the Main and North Roads. I would respectfully request an opportunity to appear before your Board and discuss the matter further, at a time and place convenient to the Board. I await your response.
