Dear Mr. Fish:
I have investigated the foundation construction of the Addition to Dwelling and
New Garage at the above mentioned project, and I can verify that the
construction and damproofing are in compliance with NYCRR provisions and
conform to the approved plans. I will revise and submit to your office amended
plans to show the foundation work between the existing Dwelling and the New
Basement when installed. This connecting foundation area was adjusted in the
field to prevent undermining of the existing foundation.

INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application MUST be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterways.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every build'rog permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey dated March 15, 2002 and
last revised July 16, 2002 and determined the proposed additions to be out of the
Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 97 of the Town Wetland Code.
However, any activity within 100' of a Wetland line or seaward of the Coastal Erosion
Hazard Area would require further review from this office.

Dear Mr. O'Connor:
Based on the information you have submitted, this Department has determined that:
The property landward of the 20' elevation contour as shown on the survey prepared by
Young & Young on March 15, 2002 last revised on August 13, 2002 is beyond the jurisdiction
of Article 25 (Tidal Wetlands Act).
Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Regulations (6NYCRR Part 661 ) no
permit is required. Please be advised, however, that no construction, sedimentation, or
disturbance of any kind may take place seaward of the tidal wetlands jurisdictional boundary,
as indicated above, without a permit. It is your responsibility to ensure that all precautions are
taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or
vegetation within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction which may result from your project. Such
precautions may include maintaining adequate work area between the tidal wetland
jurisdictional boundary and your project (i.e. a 15' to 20' wide construction area) or erecting a
temporary fence, barrier, or hale bay berm.
Please be further advised that this letter does not relieve you of the responsibility of obtaining
any necessary permits or approvals from other agencies.
