Re: Orient-East Marion Park District
Dear Sir:
As I advised you on Thursday with respect to the Orient-East Marion Park District,
the next step to be taken by the Town Board is to adopt an order setting a date for
a public hearing on the question of the creation of the district. This may be done
at any time by the Town Board. If the Board wishes to adopt such an order at its
meeting on October 21st, I have prepared and enclose herewith an original and
three copies of the proposed order. All of the blanks must be filled in. The date
fixed for the hearing should be not less than ten days nor more than twenty days
from the date of publication and posting of the order. The order should be pub-
lished once in the official newspaper and a copy posted by the Town Clerk on the
Town Clerk's bulletin board.
At the same time, a map of the proposed boundaries of the district, two copies of
which are enclosed herewith, must be on file in the Town Clerk's office in order
that interested persons may examine the same.
If you have any questions with respect to this, you may call my office and Mrs.
Young will be able to answer them for you.
Yours very truly,
RWT :MY
