AT 7:00 P.M. Chairman Edward Adams declared the polls
open for the vote of the resident taxpayers on the budget
for 1996. Chairman Adams swore in the Inspectors of
Election, Judy Thilberg and Bonnie Adams, just prior to
declaring the polls open.
Minutes of the Budget Meeting of the Board of
Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held at the
Park District office on August 10, 1995 at 7:10 P.M.
Commissioners present: Chairman Edward Adams and Walter
Sabat; Treasurer, John Cushman; Secretary, Madeline Haas;
Park District Attorney, Eric Bressler.
Chairman Adams read a letter written to the Park
District complimenting the Commissioners on the very clean
way the facilities at Love Lane are.
Ms. Ann Lovett wrote asking to have a bench put on the
east side of the building at theBreakwater site.
Chairman Adams reported that specifications for the
dredging of Wolf Pit Lake were received from Mr. Sandbach.
Commissioners discussed the situation and have decided at
this time to let nature take its course once we get some
rain.
The damage done to the breakwater concession building
was estimated at $1380. The building had been grafittied.
A motorist observed and reported this act and the person was
apprehended. Waiting for word from the person as to how the
District will be reimbursed.
Chairman Adams had a person get in touch with him who
is a senior citizen, Alicia Reeve who is the widow of a
previous Co~missioners, to say that she had been ticketed at
Bailey Beach. No one can park there. This is not the order
of the Park District. It is Town property;.
It was reported that kids tried to get into the
Scouters Lodge. They were caught by a motorist and police
were called. So far nothing has been hear from them.
Jim Cox entered the meeting. He was given permission
to use the tractor at the fire house to dig a ditch for a
water line. Jim also reported that business was slow at the
Vet's Park concession.
All cellular phones are to be brought in to be re-
programmed because of a security system that is being put
into being.
Coach Voss wanted to use the Aldrich Lane site a couple
of nights. Pete Sabat told him that we have no disagreement
with that but we need official word from the School Board.
On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and
unanimously carried, the following resolution to modify the
budget was approved: Resolved that funds to be taken from
Revenues (Gifts & Donations $2,400.00 and Appropriated Fund
Balance $2,600.00) and from Beach Attendants $2,000.00,

Site Improvements $1,000.00, Site Maintenance/Facility
