HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-07/06/1995 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on July 6, 1995 at the Park District Office at Main Road, Mattituck, New York with all Commissioners (Adams Goehringer and Sabat, present together with Treasurer Cushman and Secretary Haas. The meeting was called to order Chairman Adams at 7:15 P.M. On motion of Gerry Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and unanaimously carried, the minutes were approved as presented. Chairman Adams read a letter of thanks from an Association of Greek people who had a picnic at Veterans' Park. They enclosed a $50.0~ check in appreciation. A letter was also read by Chairman Adams from the Tuthill reunion enclsoing a check for the $25.00 dumpster fee. Mr. Cox, the custodian arrived at the meeting. Mr. Adams reported that the .(~umpster at Veterans' Park was moved to a position at the Park that was more appealing to the neighbors. Mr. Adams further reported that the flag is up at Love Lane and the porta-potty fence is up at the ball field at the Yacht Club site. The porta-potty is to be used for the months of July and August. Mr. Markowski is to take care of getting it. The tennis courts on Bay Avenue have to be taken care of. The nets need attention as soon as possible. Mr. Cox said he would take care of it as soon as he has some help, he will replace the poost and get the nets up. Mr. Goehringer said that the keys and clipboards for the ticket takers are with Denise Goehringer and she will give them out again this year. Mr. Cox as Mr. Adams for a signature card for the night deposit bag. The girls turned in quite a bit of money and he does not want to be responsible for it. On motion of Gerry Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried, this night deposit transaction should be taken care of. Mr. Cox said that Fliss has not been coming regularly to work and Olsen has not shown up at all. On motion of Gerry Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried, Fliss and Olsen are to be terminated immediately (July 6, 1996) and the application of Doug Bugovich is to be checked on. He is to be offered $5.00 per hour. A Mr. Bush is to be interviewed also. Mr. Cox also reported that Mr. Koraleski has not started to work yet because of an injury he had received out side the Park District. The pump at Aldrich Lane is not working. It has to be fixed quickly. Mr. Adams is to see Paul Wilsberg to see if the soccer people know anything about how the pump burned out. Gerry Goeheringer called Steve Pollack. The DEC application is complete. ~r. Sabat had complaints that the bathrooms at Veterans~ Park were dirty and the beaches needed picking up. Mr. Sabat suggested that if Harry Charkow decides to discontinue working for the Park District after this season putting the following properties out to bid= Outside the fence at the Yacht Club, Aldrich Lane in and out, Wolf Pit Lake, Historical Society and Bay Avenue. The Commissioners said that would be considered taking the lesser monetary situation. Mr. Sabat said that the poles at the Yacht Club site should be inspected and ground treat them before they replace them.
