Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on
April 4, 1996 with Commissions Adams, Goehringer and Sabat,
Treasurer Cushman and Secretary Haas all present.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Adams at 7:05 P.M.
Minutes of the March meeting were tabeled until next
month.
There was no correspondence.
It was reported by the Commissioners that the fencing
at Vet's Park had been damaged by someone driving from
inside going out.
Chairman Adams reported the custodians have started
with the floats at Love Lane. On piling has to be put down.
Dwight Edstrom is to be notified.
Chairman Adams reported the pickup is at Mullens. The
clutch went on it.
Mr. Charkow, one of the custodial staff, has asked for
a C.B. radio or walkie-talkie so that if something happens
on one of the mowing Jobs, he can get help. He has no means
of transportation. Commissioners will look into the cost of
same..
Pete Sabat suggested time sheets to be used by the
custodial staff. They should include the site, the time,
the Job they did and be signed by the individual custodian
and by Mr. Cox.
Ed Adams was approached by Kevin Terry to set up ports-
potties at Yacht Club and Aldrich Lane sites inside the
enclosures made for same at each site. Porta-pottiss are to
be paid for by the Park District at the Yacht Club site and
the Soccer League will go 50-50 with the District at the
Aldrich Lane site.
Mr. Sabat said the Aldrich Lane site is going to be
fertilized by~m~k~~,A~m, Z~v¢.
Breakwater Cleanup. Gerry to call Gatz Landscaping
about cleaning up the Breakwater site.
If rocks are going to be given to Park District at the
Breakwater site, Comm~ssioners want them moved from the
bottom of Luther's Road hill to the guard rail area.
Mr. Sabat said the Mattituck Knights, the adult
baseball league is being activated. The cost to them is
$350.00. They will play i night and Sunday afternoons.
Gerry Goehringer said the Gate Guards were Denise
Goehringer, Deborah Cox, and Meredith Kelsch. On motion of
Gerry Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried,
Deborah Cox will earn $5.50 per hour, Denise Goehringer will
earn $6.50 per hour and Meredith Kelsch will earn $4.75.
Mr. Cox entered the meeting and was questioned about
the bill for 20 yards of sand. Jim said is was for Bay
Avenue ball field and Aldrich Lane site, and the $75.00 bill
was for a battery for the John Deere mower.
Mr. Cox did not report to the Police Department or the
insurance company the damage to the fence at Vet's Park.
Jim asked for an okay to fix a protruding bolt head on
the piling next to the ramp at Love Lane site.
Jim reported that the pickup was back at Mullens Garage
because the clutch was not working properly. Jim was told
not to let Rus Nine drive the truck.
Water filter system for magnesium is to be installed at
Vet's Park. Jim Cox is to approach Tandy Plumbing about the
job.
The Treasurer,s report as presented and bill offered
for payment were approved by a motion of Gerry Goehringer,
seconded by Pete Sabat and carried as follows:

meeting on motion of Gerry Goehring, seconded by Pete Sabat
and carried, was adjourned.
