Commissioners of ~he Mattituck Park District held on March
6, 1997 at the Park District Office, Main Road, Mattituck,
~ew York, with all Commissioners, Edward Adams, Pete Sabat,
and Gerry Goehringer present along with Treasurer Cushman
and Secretary Haas.
On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Edward Adams and
carried the minutes were 9pproved as presented.
Chairman Adams reported the Supervisor Cochran has the
Graffitti Committee in full force and effect. There will be
public meetings held as follows: On March 24th at Cutchogue
East School; On March 26th at New Suffolk School; on March
31st at Human Resource Center, Mattituck; on April 2nd at
Laurel School.
Old Business: Ed Adams said the jetty at the Yacht Club
site does belong to the District. Mr. Goehringer talked to
Steve Pollok and is getting an estimate. 'There will be a
.removal of a portion of the ends of both sides of the jetty
as well at the pole that stands alone on the west side of
the jetty. He estimate is $900.-- to $1,000.00;.
Ed Adams had spoken to Jim Cox about getting the floats
in at Love Lane by the end of March. He also Jim to get in
touch with Ray Nine to do the d.ry well at the Vet's Park
site parking lot.
The mowing of the field (the new site for the
Strawberry Festival) was discussed. Jim is to get new
blades for the flail mower to do the job.
Russ Nine is going in for heart surgery. Frank
Kowalesky is to be asked'if he would want more hours while
Russ is out.
The Porta-Potty has been put up at AldriGh Lane for
soccer. Soccer people requested it.
Gate guards for 1997: Denise Goehringer and Meredith
Kelsch are returning. Gerry Goehringer to ask Mary Guyton
is she would be'interested.
Dennis Cox and Chris Abbott ~re to be asked back to
work with Jim this summer.
Secretary instructed to write a letter to Barbara
Droskoski asking her to attend the April meeting regarding
the beach management and lifeguards.
Secretary to check to see if Peg Litchhult is going to
accept the option to take the concession this summer.
Doug Cooper is to be asked if he would be interested in
cleaning up the Breakwater Site bY the end of March.
On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and
carried the following Treasurer's report was approved and
the list of bills paid.

NO further business to come before the meeting, on
motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the
meeting was adjourned.
