HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-06/04/1998Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on June 4, 1998 at the Park District Office, Main Road, Mattituck, N.Y. with all Commissioners - Edward Adams, Walter Sabat and Gerard Goehringer present together with Secretary, Madeline Haas, and Treasurer, John Cushman.. Chairman Adams reported that a tree had fallen in the Pike Street parking lot which is rented by the Town of Southold. The tree fee across Steven Zuhoski's car. Ray Jacobs, Southold Town's Superintendent of Highways has been notified and is going to clean it up. On motion of Walter Sabat, seconded by Gerard Goehringer and carried, the May minutes were approved as presented. LILCO, now Market Span, took the light down at the Breakwater site. It will not be put up against due to the McGreevey lawsuit. On motion Of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Edward Adams and carried, Mark Sabat is to take care of undergxoond wiring and putting up two new lights at~.~PPark site. On motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Gerard Goehringer and carried, Mark Sabat is also to look at the electrical work at Aldrich Lane site for the pump and the clock. Mr. Adams reported that North Fork Soccer League has sent the bill for fertilizer at the Aldrich Lane site. Mr. Adams reported that the Piping Plower, an endangered species (bird), was nesting at the Breakwater site and asked is the District could fence off the area. Mr. Adams reported an accident at the Veterans' Park site. Custodian to have a sign made and put up behind the bamstating "No Parking 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.". Commissioners are to have a mason look at the tennis courts on Bay Avenne. Southold Town is to get a sign made up for posted at the Breakwater site to let everyone know when the VolleyBall leaguel is playing so that no one else will plan to use same. No further business to come before the meeting, on motion of Walter Sabat, seconded by Gerard Goehringer and carried, the meeting was adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Madeline S. Haas
