HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-06/03/1999Minutes of mecl/ng of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on Jane 3, 1999, ~t the Park District office on Main Road, Muttituck, New York with all Commissioners, Edward Adams, Gerard Ooehringer and Walter Sabat present, and John Cushman, Treasurer. Absent: Madeline Haas, Secretary, and James Cox, Maintenance Supervisor. Mr. Cox was excused because of the doctor's appointment. In absence of the Secretary the minutes of the May meeting were not available. On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Walter Sahnt and carried, the following Treasurer's report and list of bills for payment were approved: Cash $ 12.42 Cash in time 18,165.39 Cash in MBLadCLASS 173,883.24 Total $192,061.05 Bills ordered paid: Morgan Auto supply Enterprises, Inc, Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile Blaekman Plumbing Supply Co., Inc. There was a 2" break at Aldrich Lane which has been repaired. The Breakwater Beach has been cleaned up by Vito Italia. The Guest Pass Permits were printed wrong. They were printed for $10.00 instead of $5.00 but Commissioners agreed to leave it at $10.00. On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, Jeanne Kieran was hired as a laborer starting May 24, 1999 at $8.00 per hour. John Sider farmland was discussed by all Commissioners. They agreed to proceed with all legal steps for the purchase of 22 acres on Route 48 with the 2 big barns. They will proceed just as soon as everything is in order. Dr. Thomas R. Mercier wrote a letter stating he would like to purchase from the Park District, a portion of Tax Lot Section 140, Block I, Lot 19 at the Love Lane site. Commissioners agreed to the sale for a fair market value. Gerard Goehringer to ask Peter Kren for an appraised value. Vito Italia is to clean Bailey's Beach at a price of $1,500.00. On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, this will be done. Pat Higgins from Salt Lake Village Association entered meeting. He discussed with the Commissioners security and clean up of Veterans' Park on the Boulevard. On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Waiter Sabat and camed, Jim Anderson is to be hired as atmrt time laborer for the summer to work on days Ernie Cramble does not work (Tuesdays and Thursdays and some Saturdays and Sundays) at $8.00 per hour. Mr. Anderson is to start on Saturday, June 19, 1999. No further business to come before the meeting, on motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded hy Walter Sabat and cam'led, the meeting was adjourned.
