0F MATTITUOK FIRE DISTRICT, IN THE TOWN OF
SGUTHOLD, SUFi~OLK COUNTY, NEW YORK, HELD ON
THE 29th DAY OF JULY, 1930.
We, the undersigned, the Chairman, Inspector
and Clerk duly appointed to act at a meeting of the qualified
voters of the Mattituck Fire District in the Town of Southold,
Suffolk County, New York, held at the Mattituck Fire House in
the Village of Mattituck, in said District, on the 29th day of.
July, 1930, do hereby make the following return of said meeting:
The meeting was open fr~n ? to 9 o'clock P. M. Daylight
Saving Time, as stated in the call of the meeting and the nameS
of all persons voting thereat were recorded; that printed
ballots were used and samples were provided for free and con-
fidential examination by all persons attending said meeting; tl,~t
locked box was used in which the ballots were placed as vote~
and at the s-me time the names of the voters were recorded on
the voting list; that said box was not unlocked or lm*astened
~ntil the close of the meeting, and when opened the ballots
Were counted and the number thereof was compared with the na~e~
ecorded as having voted and it was found ballots
had been voted:-
~ The canvass of said ballots was as follows:-
On the question "Shall the Fire Comm~ssioners of said
Mattituck Fire District, Southold Town, Suffolk County, New
~ork, be authorized, empowered and directed to expend the sum
~wenty Thousand Dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary
;o erect upon a site located in said district, a suitable fire-
~roof building for a fire house to house the fire apparatus of
~aid district and to provide meeting rooms and other facilities
pequired in connection therewith and shall the sum of Twenty
ThOusand Dollars be raised by the levy of a tax by installment
said tax to be sufficient for the payment of bonds hereinafterl
~described and the interest thereon when the same shall be pay-!
able and shall bonds in the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars be ~
issued and payable as follows: Twenty bonds to be in the de-
,nomination of One Thousand Dollars each, the first of which
ishall be due and payable o~ the 1st day of August, 1931, and
lone bond shall be due and payable on the 1st day of August in
each suceeding year until said bonds b~ve been fully paid, said
~bonds to bear interest at the rate of Four and Three-Quarters
i!,(A~%) per cent, to be paid semi,annually on the 1st day of
IPebruary and August in each year when it shall become due?"
That thereupon, we signed this return in duplicate
and delivered one to the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold,
~uffolk County, New York, together with the said ballots and
~he list of the names of the persons voting at said meeting;
bhe other we delivered to tho Fire Commissioners of said Dis-
~trict.
