Dear Sirs:
The United States is condemning the parcel of
land adjoining the Mount Prospect Reservation on Fishers
Island just inside the boundary line marking the prop-
erty of Fishers Island Estates, Inc. They have referred
to our roadway as a public highway. Mr. Gallagher, an
attorney in the office of Harry T. Dolan, Special Assis-
tant to the Attorney General of the United States, in
charge of the matter, has suggested that I write you in
the matter.
Oriental Avenue is a public highway and runs
to our boundary line. However, from that point on the
road is a private one o~med by Fishers Island Estates,
Inc.
Kindly let me know what your records show in
connection with this matter.
