RECREATION DEPARTMENT
MONTHLY REPORT: JULY 2010
2010 SUMMER REGISTRATION: has been going strong for two straight months. Our
brochure was an insert in the May 20 edition of the Suffolk Times and I have been busy
ever since.
FALL BROCHURE: is completed and was typeset by Fred Miner of Minergraphics.
The brochure will be an insert in the August 12 edition of the Suffolk Times. Following
is a listing of some of the programs and activities offered for the fall 2010 season:

2011 BUDGET REQUEST: Detailed estimates of the amount of revenues to be
received and expenditures to be made during the 2010 fiscal year were submitted to
Town Clerk Betty Neville.
AMERICAN RED CROSS SWIMMING LESSONS: Two week sessions were held at
Veteran's Beach in Mattimck, Nassau Point in Cutchogue, Founders Landing in
Southold, and Norman E. Klipp Park (Gull Pond) in Greenport.
Our thanks goes out to the various park districts for once again allowing us the use of
their beaches.
