RE6OLUTION ADOPTED BY TO?.~ BOARD aT ~[EETINp HELD,,,,~eptember 21st. 1945. WHERF~4S, there has been duly presented to this Town Board of the To~n of Southold a written petition requestin~ the establishment of a proposed addition to Southold Fire District within the Town of South)Id, to embrace the territory hereinafter described, and [~H/i~E~S, this Board has determined that such petition was signed and acknowledged by resident taxp%vers o~aing more than one-half of the taxable real property of such district, and WHERE~S, a notice containing a description of the proposed fire district and specifying the time when and the place where the Town Board would meet to consider the petition and to hear all persons interested in the sub,act concerning the same, has been published and posted es required by law, and a public hearing has taken place in the Town Clerk's Office in The Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, wlthin the limits of the proposed fire district on the 21st day of September, 1948, it is hereby R~OLYED, that this Board find and determine upon the evidence given at said hearing, that it is in the public interest to grant in whole the rellef so.bt, and it is further RESOLVED, that pursuant to 5action 171 of the Town Law of the State of New York, there be and hereby is established and extended a fire district within the Town of Southold, to be contained in and embrace the following boundaries, to wit:- ~ that part of the Town of Southold, County of Suffolk, New York, bounded and described as follows:- BEGINNINO at a point where the Easterly line of Soutnold Fire Dlstrlct adjoins the Nort.herly line of Arshamomoque Creek or Pond and then running Northerly along the Easterly line of Southold Fire District across the road to Long Island Sound; thence Easterly along Long Island Sound to the Northeasterly corner of land of Butt; thence running Southerly along land of Bu~ to the North Road at the Southeasterly corner of said Burr ~s land; thence continuing along the same course across the North Road to land of Ruch; thence running Easterly along the Northerly side of the North Road to the Northeasterly corner of land of Bodecker; thence Southerly along land of Bodecker to the Southeasterly corner thereo~ thence Easterly ~o land of ~erkel, Inc.; thence Southerly along land of ~erkel, Inc. to land o£ Cmesidy; thence Westerly along land of C~ssidy to the Easterly side of Arshamcmoque Creek or Pond and thence Northerly along the Easterly l~ne of Arshamomoque Creek or Pond to the point or place of beginning. And it ls further R~SOLYED, that this Board find and determine that all the property, property owners and interested persons within the proposed district are benefited thereby, and that all property or property o~ners benefited are included therein.
