Authohze~n~[ure and Date ~ 2/05 Addendum to Questionnaire For Filing with Z.B.A. Application H. Tbere are currently 4 buildings on the premises. They are referred to on the attached survey as I. Frame and Stucco Barn; 2. Frame Storage House; 3. Conc. Block Building and 4. Metal Building. Tbe Frame Stucco Barn was built as a Potato grading and storage building sometime around 1920. It is made up a first floor which has and still is used roi' potato grading and storage of potatoes. The second floor was built for potato storage but because of the change in the volume of potatoes grown on Long Island mrd the cost of labor that space has remained vacant lbr more than the past 20 years. The basement of the building which has a high (approximately 1 l thor) ceiling has also been vacant for over 20 years. It is proposed to use the entire building for general purpose office space. There is cuIrently a one story shed/covered truck port attached to the north side of the building which is 107.7 feet lon~ and I4.2 feet wide which we intend to have removed. It is proposed to dormer the length of tl~-e building on the north and south sides in order to add windows to provide natural light to the second floor. The square footage of the floor space on the second floor will not be changed but the head room will be altered slightly near the side walls where the dormers will be added. Windows and doors will also be added to the first floor. The footprint of the building other than the removal of the shed noted above will remain the same as it presently stands. The Frame Storage House is a "pole barn" originally built, upon information and beliet; in the 1970's for use as a bulk fertilizer storage (fertilizer containment) building. It has not been used for storage of bulk fertilizer for many years nor is it likely to be used tbr that use ever again because of changes in the local environment and changes in the fertilizer business. It has been used for many years as a storage barn for materials and equipment. It is proposed to use continue to use that bnilding for warehouse or light industrial use. No changes are proposed to the lbotprint of the building. It is proposed that a septic system, water, heat and insulation be added to this building. The Concrete block building located in the rear or the properly was originally built, upon inlbrmation and belief, around 1920 tbr use as a Iabor camp to house workers for the potato packing operation. It has retained that use untiI now. Since the proposal is to no longer use this property for potato packing this building will no longer be used as a labor camp. It is proposed that this building will retain its current size but be remodeled for use as a one or two family residential residence. The Metal Building located on the rear of the property was built for storage and will continue to be used for storage. Other than possibly re-siding and re-roofiug this strncture no other changes to it are proposed.
