Dear Mr. Christianson:
The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on
Wednesday September 22, 2004, regarding the above matter:
WHEREAS, THOMAS CHRISTIANSON applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a
permit under the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, the Wetland
Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated August 23, 2004, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory
Council for their findings and recommendations, and,
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said
application on September 22, 2004, at which time all interested persons were given an
opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the
premises in question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of the
Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the
health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the
application of THOMAS CHRISTIANSON to demolish the existing dwelling and
.~construct a new 862 sq. ft. dwelling and sanitary system, with the conditions of
placement of a staked hay bale line prior to construction at the 4'contour line to remain
in place after construction in order to establish a non disturbance buffer, and submission
of a planting plan to improve the shoreline, and all as depicted on the plan surveyed by
Joseph A. Ingegno and site plan drawn by Nancy Steelman last revised October 4,
2004.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date the permit
is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the
date of this notification.
Inspections are required at a fee of $50.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.)

CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Tuesday,
September 14, 2004, the following recommendation was made:
Moved by Jack McGreevy, seconded by Don Wilder, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH
A CONDITION of the Wetland Permit application of THOMAS CHRISTIANSON to
demolish the existing dwelling and construct a new 862 sq.ft, dwelling and sanitary
system.

The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the Condition the house is
moved to the northwest and the septic tanks are relocated to the south, as necessary,
and the two large oak trees should not be taken down.
The CAC further recommends the Stormwater Committee investigate the Town drain in
front of the subject property.

Dear Board Members,
Since receiving your approval on my site plan I received the enclosed letter from the
Department of Environmental Conservation. In the letter they required that the septic
tank be relocated to the north side of the leaching pools, and the leaching pools be
relocated as shown on the revised site plan. The revised site plan also gives the required
distance to the tree indicated, and the covenant will be added to the deed after the permit
is granted by the DEC (this as per instructions I received by phone from the DEC
representative).
I hope that these changes are with-in the scope of the already granted permit.
