RE: REPLENISH OF LOST SAND/VEGETATION REQUEST/DESCRIPTION FOR
THE EDUCATION & CULTURAL HOLDINGS, located at 3800 Duck Pond Rd,
Cutchogue, NY 11935
TAX MAP 83-2-17.3
As a result of the Winter storms and the erosion that occurred, we are requesting a
permit to replenish the lost sand and to re-vegetate along existing sea wall to
maintain the sea wall sb'uctures integrity from future storms/erosion.
We will distribute approx 140 cubic yards of sand. The sand is onsite from the town
drainage correction conducted on Duck Pond road restored by the Joint Industry
Board of Electrical Industries Education & Cultural Holdings. So there will be no
need to truck in sand it is present on the property.
The 140 cubic yards of sand will be distributed by our equipment, a pay loaders/skid
loader on site on the property. We will re-vegetate with indigenous sea material such
as, Sea-grass, Bayberry and Rosa Ragosa.
This repair is necessary to restore the seawall to its original landscape prior to the
winter storms. It is also required to protect the existing sea wall from future storms
and further erosion.
