Committees were selected and specific goals were set for balance of year (See Old Business.) B. Walking/driving tour of sites in Orient that we had approved earlier, were having hearings on, and others to be reviewed in the future were visited. As a result, changes made without the Commission's approval were flagged. Our pre-view of the Rose house revealed some future challenges. C. We agreed that individual Commissioners would give general comments about the landmarking process when asked, but not give advice on a specific project, advising that ~the Commission will review the project and make recommendations based on the Code. The application for a Building Permit initiates the formal process. The Commission encourages pre-application consultations with the Commission at a regular monthly meeting. D. Will coordinate with Public Works Dept. to get ~Velcome to Historic Southold Town" at entrances to Town; also consider more obvious National Historic District signs. E.
