Town of Southold LANDMARKS PRESERVATION COMMISSION Meeting A.qenda February 23. 2010; 3 p.m. Call to Order by Jamie Garreteon, Acting Chairman Approval of Minutes - Minutes for January 26, 2010 meeting were emailed separately to Commissioners Chairman's Comments (From Jim Grethwohl, Chairman) A. Welcome to Leslie Tasca, successor to Damon as admin, asst. to LPC. Consider having Leslie take minutes of future meetings. Larry will continue as official Secretary. B. Southold and Cutchogue-New Suffolk historical societies mark 50t' anniversaries in 2010. Recommend supervisor and Town Board recognize each organization with an appropriate resolution and presentation drafted by Town Historian. C. Town's Landmarks Preservation Code allows for maximum of seven members of the LPC. Consider asking Town Board to increase commissioners to nine to allow additional members from Mattituck and East Madan. D. Consider coordinating with historical societies on nominating five new eligible landmarks in each hamlet from SPLIA list for addition to Town Landmarks Register in 2010. LPC would invite owners to apply Old Business A. Review goals and objectives and accomplishments for 2009 and discuss new goals for 2010; Set a date of a future Town Board meeting to brief the Board on LPC. (Postpone to March 16 meeting.) B. Update on CLG application - Jamie C. Update on inventory and restoration plan for Ben Franklin mile markers-Ron and Barbara D. Committee Reports (Can be postponed to March 16 meeting.) E. Continue discussion of Ramone application for alterations to house on Village Lane, OHent. Develop questions and concerns about the application and how the Town code applies. ~Nill be reviewed by Jennifer Andoloro, asst. town attorney, who will meet with us and provide advice and guidance at our March 16 meeting prior to the Ramone hearing at 4 p.m. Email questions to Jim Grethwohl by March 5 for aubmis~ion to Ms. Andoloro.
