Made the of August, Nineteen Hundred and
Ninely-seven
Between ANN L. BLISS, residing at 1504 East Hill Road, Andover, Vermont
05143, party of the first part, and
ANN L. BLISS, Trustee of the Ann L. Bliss Orient Qualified Personal
Residence Trust, residing at 1504 Gast Hill Road, Andover, Vermont 05143, party of
the second part,
Witnesseth that the party of the first part, in consideration of One Dollar
($ LW) lawful money of the United States, paid by the party of the second part, does
hereby grant and release unto the party of the second part, her heirs and assigns
forever,
ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, with the buildings and
improvements thereon erected, situate, lying and being in the Village of Orient, Town
of Southold, Coynty of Suffolk, Slate of New York, containing by estimation thirty (30)
rods, more or less, and bounded northerly by State Street, (now Skippers Lane),
easterly by lands occupied by Alfred Nathaniel Luce, Southerly by lands of the heirs
of Mary A. Glover, and Westerly by the lands of Myron Rackett, being and intended
to be the same property that was conveyed by James H. Young and wife to Carrie S.
Rackett, which conveyance was by warranted deed dated May 1st, 1883, and which
premises were again conveyed by Carrie S. Rackett to Alfred W. Latham by Warranted
decd dated April 12th, 1888, and recorded in Suffolk County Clerk's Office in Liber
310, page 190, on the 16th day of April, 1888.
BEING and intended to be the same premises conveyed to Ann L. Bliss and
Richard H. Bliss, her husband, by George R. Latham and Elizabeth E. Latham, his
wife, by deed dated December 29, 1975 and recorded on the 29th day of December,
1975 in the Office of the Clerk of Suffolk County in Liber 7965 at page 394 with the
grantors therein reserving a life estate in and to the subject of the real property.
George R. Latham died a resident of Suffolk County, New York in July of 1981.
COriway Elizabeth E. Latham died a resident of Nassau County, New York in February of 1983.
Lavelle The grantor, now the surviving owner of a certain tenancy by the entirety with Richard
& Finn H. Bliss, who died a resident of Chautauqua County, New Hampshire on June 21,
