The work is planned to commence this spring, but during this past winter's storms, additional fill was lost from beneath the pool house located immediately behind the concrete wall. As a result, additional backfill will be required behind the new wall, and an anchor system consisting of tierods and deadmen will need to be used in place of the previously proposed helical anchors. Thus, it will also be necessary to lift the decking from around the pool house so that the fill can be deposited and the anchor system installed on the landward side of the pool house. Therefore, please accept this letter and enclosed check payable to the Department for $200.00 as a request that the permit be modified to authorize the above described changes, all as depicted on the updated project plan prepared by En -Consultants, Inc., last dated 8 April 2011, four (4) copies of which are attached hereto.
