Re: Babs Corp Appeal #6284, 13015 Main Road, Mattituck 1000-140-3-39.
Ladies/Gentlemen:
Mr. Brayson and I have spoken on this matter and he has agreed to the following conditions,
which ! have underlined for the Board's convenience, not for emphasis:
1-The door and window on the west side of the building will be eliminated.
2-The building will be used only for storage.
I request that these conditions be included in the approval of any variance. 1 also ask that a
condition be imposed that there be no exterior lighting on the building on its west side or where it
might enter my property. I did not think to ask him for this condition, but I have a personal
aversion to excess light pollution and don't believe he will object.
I also requested that he move the building 2 feet easterly because it is now on the boundary
line, and access to the west side for construction or maintenance will be impossible without
entering my property. He advises that this may be too 15ostly.
If the Board disagrees and grants the variance without requiring that the building be moved,
then I ask that the additional condition that no expansion westerly beyond the existing footprint be
allowed.
As I advised Mr. Brayson, I am very glad he is restoring the building as his predecessor in title
has allowed it to become derelict and unsightly for some time now.
Thank you for your consideration.

Hearing Date: June 25, 2009
Dear Members:
I mn writing on behalf of my client, the Mattituck Park District, concerning the
atx>ve application. It is our underslanding that the application ia to rebuilck in place, two
historic barns on the property. The Mattimck Park District owns the property directly north
and adjacent to the northerly property liae of the subject parcel, lj~ fact, the northerly sides
of the barns that are the subject of this application se located almost on thc she, red property
line.
Of concern to my clients is the fact that there is a fence, belonging to the applicant,
which is located on my client's property. Mr. Brayson, the representative of the applicant
corporation, has ab, reed to relocate the t~nce to his property as a part of the renovation. That
said, and assuming the barns are to be rebuilt ia place, we do not object to the application.
However, iftbe barns were to be relocated at all, we would ask that th~ be moved, at least
some distance, fi.om our shared property line.
fhank you [br your co ~sidemtion. ffyou have any questions, or require clarification
of the above, please feel ~ee to contact me directly at (516) 695-7660.
