GEORGE F. HAASE, residing at 3 Old Pine Drive, Manhasset, NY
11030, Grantor, and
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, acting by and through the
Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation of the
State of New York, who has an office at Agency Building 1, The
Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire, State Plaza, Albany, New York
12238, Grantees,
WITNESSETH, that the Grantor, in consideration of the
conveyance of certain lands in the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, to be made by the Grantees to the Grantor, as
authorized by S 3 . 17 of the Parks, Recreation & Historic
Preservation Law, and pursuant to an Exchange Agreement dated
September 9, 1998, between the parties hereto, does hereby grant
and release to the Grantees, their successors and assigns forever,
ALL THAT CERTAIN PIECE OR PARCEL OF LAND, with the buildings
andlimprovements thereon erected, situate, lying and being in the
Town of Southold, County of Suffolk and State of New York being
more particularly bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING - at a monument set at the intersection of the
easterly line of Plum Island Lane with the northerly line of Main
(State) Road;

RUNNING THENCE along said easterly line of Plum Island Lane,
North 010 02 ' 20" East 191.0 feet to other land of the Grantor;
THENCE along said land, North 880 04 ' 30" East 304 . 19 feet to
land now or formerly of Elsky;
THENCE along said land, South 00 20' 40" West 207 . 24 feet to
said northerly line of Main (State) Road;
THENCE along said northerly line, North 860 13 ' 30" West
139. 08 feet, and South 880 55.' 40" West 167.48 feet to the point of
BEGINNING.
TOGETHER with all right title and interest of the Grantor in
and to any lands lying in the bed of any right-of-way; highway,
road or street lying in front of or adjacent to the above described
premises.
SUBJECT to the Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions by
Woodhollow Properties, Inc. dated May 27, 1982 and recorded June
18 , 1982 in ]Liber 9199 of deeds at page 350.
BEING and intending to convey the same premises conveyed to
the Grantor herein by deed from Peter J. McSherry and Maurice A.
Flannery dated September 3 , 1998 and recorded October 1, 1998 in
Suffolk County in Liber 11920 of deeds at page 384 .
TOGETHER with the appurtenances and all the estate, rights and
interest of the Grantor in and to the premises.
TO HAVE; AND TO HOLD the above granted premises unto the
Grantees, their successors and assigns forever. .
And the Grantor covenants with the Grantees as follows:
FIRST: That the Grantor is seized of said premises in fee
simple, and has good right to convey the same;
SECOND: That the Grantees shall quietly enjoy said premises;
THIRD: That said premises are free from incumbrances;

FOURTH: That the Grantor will execute or procure any further
necessary assurance of the title to said premises;
FIFTH: That the Grantor will forever WARRANT the title to
said premises; and
