The inlet and discharge rings are made from 1/2" thick steel plate and an 18' length of screen cloth, providing 317 square feet of screening area. The cloth area has three circular reinforcing rings to provide cloth support. The drum has five structural longitudinal angles within the framework. High strength crimped and inter-woven screen cloth of generous gauge and of the required "clear-opening" is installed. Screen cloth is bolted and clamped to the outside of the drum framework. · Four freely rotating nylon bristle brushes are mounted in close proximity to engage the outside of the drum face and cloth area for cleaning purposes. The screener must be new (i.e., no demonstration units), manufactured the same year as bid, and of manufacturer"s latest design. At a minimum, the Town seeks the following key features on this plant: quick change removable dram, driven by wheels, not a chain; a radial stacking conveyor for fines; ground-level engine mount such that service will not require the use of a ladder or raised platform; all conveyors to be suspended with chains, not resting on wheels. NOTE: BIDDER MUST INDICATE ANY LACK OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS DESCRIBED BELOW.
