SALE OF A NEW SEMI-AUTOMATED BAGGING SYSTEM
SPECIFICATIONS
October 22, 2009
GENERAL:
The attached specifications describe thc JEM MCRS 600 semi-automated bagging system being sold
by the Southold Town Solid Waste District. Tbe system, including all components~ was purchased
new in November 2008 for ~ $68,000 and has not been used. It has been stored indoors. The
system is for sale because thc Town's plans with regard to the bagging of compost and woodchip
mulch havc changed. The system includes an infeed hopper; an incline conveyor; a discharge
governor capable of measuring by weight or volume; a bag closing and soaling system; and a bag
sta~king and pallet wrapping system. Thc system is capable of producing a minimum of 3 bags per
minute of bagged product using one operator and up 10 bags per minute with four operators. It is
designed to run off a 460 volt, 3-phase, 60 hz power supply.

system is for sale because the Town's plans with regard to the bagging of compost and woodchip
