Term Expires March 8, 20 SOUTHOLD TOWN SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR A NEW SEMI-AUTOMATED BAGGING SYSTEM September 4, 2008 GENERAL: The attached bid specifications are for a semi-automated bagging system, such as an JEM MCRS 600 or equal, tbr use at the Southold Town Compost Facility. The system must be new (i.e., no demonstration or re-furbished units), and designed to bag mulch and woodchip products of varying size. At a minimum, the Town seeks the following key features on this plant: an infeed hopper; an incline conveyor; a discharge governer capable of measuring by weight or volume; a bag closing and sealing system; and a bag stacking and pallet wrapping system. The system must be capable of producing a minimum of 3 bags per minute of bagged product using one operator and up 10 bags per minute with four operators. It must be designed to run offa 460 volt, 3-phase, 60 hz power supply. NOTE: BIDDER MUST INDICATE ANY LACK OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS DESCRIBED BELOW.
