Dear Mr. Inzerillo:
The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey prepared by Nathan Taft Corwin III last
dated December 24, 2009 and determined the proposed swimming pool and pool house to be out
of the Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 275 of the Town Wetland Code and Chapter 111 of the
Town Code.
Therefore, in accordance with the current Wetlands Code (Chapter 275) and the Coastal Erosion
Hazard Area (Chapter 111 ) no permit is required. Please be advised, however, that no
construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of any kind may take place seaward of the tidal and/or
freshwater wetlands jurisdictional boundary or seaward of the coastal erosion hazard area as
indicated above, or within 100' landward from the top of the bluff and/or wetlands jurisdictional
boundary, without further authorization from the Southold Town Board of Trustees pursuant to
Chapter 275 and/or Chapter 111 of the Town Code. It is your responsibility to ensure that all
necessary best management practices are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration
or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction and Coastal
Erosion Hazard Area, which may result from your project.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency.

Prease check the following. A no jurisdiction letter was issued by the Trustees, with the requirement of no clearing within
100' of the wetland and pond.

Complaint was there was clearing. There was a Building Dept permit issued. Would you please check that the clearing is
not within 100' of the wetland/pond area and let us know if haybales are needed to protect that area; it is a steep slope.

Dear Mr. Pfennig:
Based on the information you have submitted, the New York State Department of
Environmental Conservation has determined that:
Your prop.osed project to construct a single family dwelling, septic system, swimming
pool, garage, ddveway and associated clearing, grading and ground disturbance at
Laurel Lake Road Mattituck, NY, SCTM #1000-121-04-8.4. as shown on the survey by
Joseph A. Ingegno last revised 5/7/01, is more than 100 feet from regulated
freshwater wetlands.
Therefore, no permit is required under the Freshwater Wetlands Act (Ar[icle 24 of the
Environmental Conservation Law).
Be advised, that all construction, clearing, and/or ground disturbance must remain more
than 100 feet from the freshwater wetland boundary. In addition, any additional work,
or modification to the project as described, may require authorization by this
Department. Please contact Ibis office if such are contemplated.
Please be further advised that this letter does not relieve you of the responsib~
obtaining any necessary permits or approvals from other ag?,~ies. /
