Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971 Monthly Report Date: December 2009 · On going trail maintenance on Laurel Lake, Downs Farm, Arshamomaque, Arshamomaqne Pond, Dam Pond and Mill Road Preserves. · Submitted the permit renewals for the 2010 Southold Town Shellfish Hatchery Permits for the Town's Shellfish Program at the Cedar Beach, in cooperation with Cornell Cooperative Extension. · Attended several meeting in reference to the demolition and removal of the bulkhead on the Bittner Preserve. · Meetings in reference to Streetlight Reconciliation Project with LIPA. · Attended a meeting of the Southold Town Recreation Committee. · Attended a meeting with Jamie Richter and Chesterfields Associates, in reference to dredging Goldsmith Inlet, beginning on January 4, 2010. · Attended a meeting in reference to the MS4 Stormwater Program. · The 2010 Deer Management Program ended on December 31, 2009 and the program was very successful. A survey has been sent to the participants and the results are being compiled and a report to the Town Board will be forth coming in January 2010. · Meetings with Jamie Richter in reference to preparing applications for permits for several proposed projects. · Renovations (sheetrock, spackling and painting) at Town Hall from the main entrance to the westerly entrance are continuing and will be completed in January. · Working on the "Punch List" at the Animal Shelter, with Jamie Richter and contractors. · Worked with the Highway Department on clearing roads, parking lots and sidewalks after a major snow storm event. Highway and DPW staff did an excellent job. · Removed an old radio tower at the Highway Department that had fall over in a wind storm. · Submitted the 2010 application to the Suffolk County Youth Bureau for the Southold Youth Services Program. · Submitted plans to the Land Preservation Committee, in reference the construction of a 95 car) parking area at the Bittner Preserve, as part of a grant from the NYS DOS.
