Housing:
??
Facilitated Housing Advisory (HAC) Commission meeting along with dissemination of
minutes.
??
Attended Code Committee meeting to discuss proposed accessory apartment
legislative changes. Met with Town Attorney to integrate comments—to be further
reviewed at TB work session.
Youth:
??
Facilitated Youth Bureau (YB) board meeting along with dissemination of minutes.
??
Co-facilitated Youth Advisory Council (YAC) meeting along with dissemination of
minutes.
??
Coordinated YAC community service project to rake leaves for homebound seniors
on Saturday, November 21st.
??
Several meetings with YB and YAC to develop substance abuse prevention and
intervention workshop in spring 2010.
??
Attended 4EC quarterly meeting.
??
With other East End town Youth Bureaus, attended meeting for preparation of Gang
Awareness conference in March 2010.
??
Attended Suffolk County Youth Bureau Board meeting and Suffolk County Youth
Bureau Project Directors’ meeting.
??
With Ken Reeves, met with Riverhead Youth Bureau and Cultural Affairs directors to
assess Southold’s YB and recreation programs.
??
Attended meeting of Long Island municipal Youth Bureaus to learn of 2010 reporting
requirements for New York Office of Family and Child Services contracts.
Workplace Violence Prevention:
??
Through Sandi Berliner, coordinating training for staff who did not attend mandatory
annual training.
Loss Control Program and Executive Safety Committee:
??
Upon receipt of Police Dept. emergency evacuation policies, will finalize Town plan.
Community Development Block Grant:
??
Prepared 2010 CDBG project descriptions for Suffolk County.
??
With Jim McMahon, reviewed status of funding allocations for 2009 and earlier.
Comprehensive Plan:
??
Multiple meetings with Comp. Plan team.
Other:
??
Met with Peconic Landing residents to discuss the Town’s environmental and
recycling efforts.
??
With Supervisor, met with Peconic stakeholders and East End Arts Council to
brainstorm ideas for future utilization of Peconic Lane Community Center.
