MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 1999
MINUTES
Present were: Dick Ryan, Joe Krukowski, Reed Jarvis, Fred Lee,
Noreen McKenna, Jean , Brian Murphy, Melissa Spiro, Hoot
Sherman, Tim Caufield, Ray Huntington, Greg Yakaboski and Sandra
Scott.
Dick Ryan introduced all of the attendees.
Noreen McKenna has been in contact with Mrs. Scott, who brought
in a survey map of the property she is submitting for development
rights purchase. It is agriculturally zoned. Mrs. Scott was told
that the committee would review it. Since there is a question re-
garding the farmstand, it was suggested that Noreen contact her
again and find out exactly what she wants. Also, it was suggested
that she speak to the Planning Department.
Supervisor Cochran was contacted re: the property next to Hollister's.
Also, Skip Goldsmith is interested in selling the boatyard property near
Founders' Landing. Jean thought it would be a possibility for the Park
District. Also, the Mattituck Inlet property owned by the Lone Star
Corp. They wanted to know what could be done with the property.
Jean asked Melissa to look into this. Jean also said there are two slots
open on the Suffolk County Farm Select Committee. Reed Jarvis said
he would like to join. Jean will contact a few of the farmers to see
if they are interested.
Greg Yakaboski spoke to the committee regarding the process of the
purchasing of development rights. Melissa suggested that the Planning
Board should see the survey map for the subdivision process.
