239.4B, based on the Building Inspector’s December 26, 2000 Notice of Disapproval. Applicant is
proposing a dwelling at less than 75 feet from the existing bulkhead. Location: 1165 Blue Marlin Drive,

6:35 p.m. Appl. No. 4908 – CHESTER CIAGLO, JR. A Variance under Article III, Section 100-
33, based on the Building Inspector’s November 10, 2000 Notice of Disapproval to locate a proposed
deck addition at the rear of the existing dwelling, which deck will place an existing accessory building in

6:40 p.m. Appl. No. 4911 – MANOR GROVE CORP. Owner/WAYNE and MARY OLIVIA MOTT,
Contract Vendees. A Variance is requested, based on the Building Department’s October 31, 2000
Notice of Disapproval denying an application for a building permit, Article XXIV, Section 100-244-B for
the reason that a dwelling is proposed with a rear yard setback at less than 35 feet. Location: 1380

6:50 p.m. Appl. No. 4896 – STEPHEN SCHOTT. This is a request for a Variance under Article
III, Section 100-33, and Article XXIV, Section 100-244B, based on the Building Department’s October
30, 2000 Notice of Disapproval for a deck addition to existing one-family dwelling with a rear yard
setback at less than 50 feet, and an accessory building in a side yard location with the new deck

Variance under Article III, Section 100-33, based on the Building Inspector’s October 6, 2000 Notice of

7:10 p.m. Appl. No. 4914 – OWEN MORREL. This is a request for a Variance under Article III,
Section 100-33, based on the Building Department’s December 14, 2000 Notice of Disapproval for

7:45 p.m. Appl. No. 4837 – H. CASHY. (Continued Hearing). This is a request for a Variance
under Article XXIV, Section 100-239.4A.1, based on the Building Department’s May 2, 2000 Notice of
Disapproval for location of an accessory swimming pool and hot tub construction at less than 100 feet

7:50 p.m. Appl. No. 4906 – V. and R. LYNCH. This is a request for Variances under Article III,

8:10 p.m. Appl. No. 4918 – WILLIAM and THERESA ACKERMANN. This is a request for a
Variance under Article III, Section 100-32 to construct a new second dwelling as a principal building,
replacing a dwelling. Also requested is a variance for a height of the new dwelling above the code

8:25 p.m. Appl. No. 4876 – GORDON and MADELEINE SCHLAEFER (1670 House of

M. Rosen Tower #4864 – when application is amended and filed, tentatively calendar for April

Hellenic Cabins – application before Planning Board is different than that before the Building
Dept. and ZBA. Planning Board has a motel use, and Building/ZBA has a Disapproval and variance to
expand former tourist camp/cottages which LB Zone use provisions do not provide (not listed as a
permitted use or by S.E.). Ed Forrester recently left message that motels are permitted in the LB zone,
but not cottages. Application before ZBA inactive, pending re-submission by attorney/applicants.

Principi - owner has not furnished engineering information; calendar for April 5 or March 15, or
when? Need to send letter to applicant advising of hearing date or time allotted.
Dr. Benjamin – advertise for hearing to be held April 5?
Lynch, F.I. – Open hearing 2/27 to start dialogue with applicants. As of 2/20/01 have not
received drainage plan or bluff line information from Building Dept. or applicants.
Other files pending and incomplete:
W. Goggins – Accessory Apartment – pending C.O. information to be furnished by applicant.
N. Miller – B & B. pending C.O. information to be furnished by applicant.
Southold Citizens for Safe Roads (Cross Sound) Appeal of a copy of an Inter-Office Memo to
Planning Board. Not filed as per special counsel; application does not appear proper
for filing and processing as submitted; next step to be determined by special counsel
with ZBA Chairman/Members.
Island Health Care, F.I. – Special Exception and Variance incomplete – pending confirmation of
true lot lines and subdivision map and variance documentation, as indicated by attorney for
applicants to ZBA staff on 10/12/00. Application has been inactive by applicants since 10/00
with ZBA office.
LIPA/Manor Grove Corp. – application incomplete pending fence variance request; pending
submission of fence plan and Notice of Disapproval; Special Exception is pending a lot-line
change with Planning Board according to applicant.
