Martocchia, 16~South Street, Greenport, New York, with the following present: Supervisor Albert 'M. Martocchia, CounCilman James'M. Moved by Justice~SUter, seconded:by~ Councilman Homart', it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board appDoves the Fishers Island Ferry District a'dvertisement, for bids for the steel plates for the M/V Mystic Isle. The acceptance ~f any bids by the'Commissioners of th'e Fishers island Ferry District shall be subject to the approval of ~h~ Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York. Martocchia, on December 15, ~1972 signed a two (2) ~year contract with the Civil Service Employee.'s Association, Inc.~¥ S~ffotk Chapter, SouthoLd Town ~Unit ("CSEA"), effective January-~l, r1973'and-_terminating Decembe~ Supervisor ~A~L~s~t ~ Ma~tocchia, on'January ~,- 19~3, signed a two (2) year., contract with the Southold TownPo~ice~Benevolent Association, Inc~ ~(3'PBA~I)~ effective January. 1, t9~3 and terminating on December 31, 1974~-. Moved by Justice Demares~, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that General bills in the amount of $25,312.25; Fishers Island Ferry District bills in the amount of $16,809.43; Highway bills in the amount of $8,630.70; Special District bills in the amount of $4,769.~9-;. and Capi%al~Account bills in the amount of $4,502.20 be and the same~are~hereby ordered paid. Mr. Peter Warren appeared before the Board with a petition requesting an Ordinance governing the date when cover crops must be sowed, due to the dust in the last few days. Mr. Warren suggested a possible date ~f October 15th. A ,discussion was~held by members,of~:the.audience p~o and:-con on the renaming of Skunk Lane, Cutchogue, back to Bay Avenue. .A number of letters'were ~read by t~e Supervisor requesti~g'the~name r-ema'ln Skunk'Lane, .among them Cu~chogue Fir~ Department, T~n ~ Historian WaitZ, and several othe~ property owners. S. Department of~the Interior, Earth Resources Observation System Data Center, Sioux Falls, S.D. Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board accepts the bond of $100,000.00 for roads and improvements in the subdivision known as "Lands End" located at Orient Point, New Y~rk, ownedand developed by Lands End- Realty, 108 Allen Boulevard, Farmingdale, New York.
