The Town Board reconvened at the Southold Town Clerk's Office at Southold, N.Y. at 7:00 P.M. with .the following present: Supervisor Tuthitl; Councilmen Albertson andD~marest;Justices Tuthill, clark and Edwards; Town Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilm~n Demarest: WHEREAS, a petition was received from Stanley Sledzieski relative to change.of zone from "A" Residential and AGricultUral District to ~B,-Business District on Certain property on East Side of Cox Neck Road~inMattituck, NOW, ~EREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Sou~hotd be and hereby isdirected to transmit this ~pplication to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, Subdivision C of Article lX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, ~ew York. Vote~of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Tuthill; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tut~ll and Clark, and Edwards. Moved by Justice Tuthi~l; seconded by Justice Clark: W~ER~AS, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids were opened for proposals to furnish to the Town~io~ Southold 100,000 gallons of special grade gasoline ( or as much!~t~ereof as may be required during the period from April 1, 1960 to March 31, 1961) for the use of the Town of Southold, and W~ER~AS, only one bid was submitted which ,was by R. A. McCallum Inc~,i~agent for Mobil Oil Compmny, BE IT ~ESOLVED: That this bid be held over until the next meeting of the~OWn Board for further discussion. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Tuthill; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.and Edwards. Moved by COuncilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: W~EREAS, T~E Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and recommendation upon the petition of Grace Nickles for a change of zone from"A" Residential and Agricultural District to "B" Business District on certain real property situate on south side of Main Road, Southold, ~.y. NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by the Southold Town Board at the Supervisor's Office in Greenport, on Tuesday, Apui~ 12, 1960, at 2 o'clock P.M. on the above mentioned petition, and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and directed to cause a notice of said hearing to be published in the Long,Island Traveler-Mattituck Watchman, pursuan~ to the requirements of law. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Superv~sDr Tuthill; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Edwards. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark: W~REAS, ~rs. Barbara Young has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer permit, ~OW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Mrs. Barbara Young to locate a single trailer on her property at Horton Point, Southold, N.Y. be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy for a two year period. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Superqisor Tuthill; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Jusices Tuthill, Clark and Edwards. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Edwards: W~EREAS, ~E Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and recommendation upon the petition of the Board of Cot, missioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District, and W~EREAS, the said Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District has requested that a portion of the said premises be placed in the "B" BUsiness District, and 280 WHEREAS, the Town Board has given consideration of this matter and- believes it would be in the best interests of the Town of Southold that all of the property, acquired by the Town of Southold from the- United States of A~erica at Fishers Island be placed in a "B" BUS- iness District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by the Southold Town Board at the Supervisor's Office at Greenport, N.Y. on April 12, 1960, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the above mentioned, matter, and that the Town Clerk be-and he hereby is authorized and directed to cause a notice of said hearing, to be published.in the New London Day and Long I~land Traveler~Mattituck Watchman pursuan% to the requirements of- law. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Tuthill; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; .Justices~ Tuthill, Clark and Edwards. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Albertson: WHRERAS, the Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and recommendation upon the petition ~f Stanley Sledzieski for a change of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to "B" Business District on certain property on East side of Cox Neck Road, Mattituck, N.Y. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be. held by the Southold Town Board at the Supervisor's Office in Greenport.~._ on Tuesday, April 12, 1960, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the above mentioned petition and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is ;authorized andd directed to cause a notice of said hearing to be published in _the Long I~and Traveler-Mattituck Watchman, pursuant to the requirements of law. ~' Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervis= Tuthill; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Edwards. Councilman Louis M. Demarest requested the Town Clerk to write to Mr. Koops, Manager 6f the Lighting Department of the Long Island Lighting Company, asking that he contactMr. Demarest regarding street lights in the Orient Lighting District.
