The Building Department does not issue temporary permits for farm stands. The Board does not want a large anchored to the ground farm stand until the site plan application is made for the winery so both projects can be reviewed for curb cut and parking. A curb cut permit must be obtained from the Suffolk County Department of Public Works for for both the winery and farm stand. When we have received an application for the winery and have reviewed it, we will review the parking for your farm stand and inform you in writing of our findings. If you have any questions, or require additional information, please contact this office. Since a proposed winery is also planned for this location and a curb cut permit must be obtained from the Suffolk County Department of Public Works for this winery, we must review both proposals jointly in order to determine the optimum location for both projects. We are in the process of a pre-submission conference with Mrs. Dzugas-Smith concerning her winery. When we have received an application for the winery and have reviewed it, we will review the parking for your farm stand and inform you in writing of our findings.
