The event will be a fundraiser for both non-profit groups. The mission of the North Fork AIDS Network is to promote AIDS awareness; to provide care, love and support to our families, our friends and neighbors; and to prevent the spread of AIDS on the North Fork. The Retreat offers a comprehensive program for victims of domestic violence, including a 24 hour hotline. A yard sale flyer and a brochure are enclosed. Goals NFAN was formed: · to compile a comprehensive di- rectory of AIDS-related health and social services and how to access them; · to identify service gaps and un- met needs; · to operate a drop:in center and a hotline staffed by volunteers; · to provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive AIDS educa- tion and prevention materials for schools and community groups; and, to create a supportive environ- ment in which, together, we can respond to the challenges of AIDS in our lives.
