The required type of construction for the building shall be determined by applying the height and area limitation for each of the applicable occupancies to the entire building. The mbst restrictive of construction, so determined, shall apply to the entire building. All other code requirements shall apply to each portion of the building based on the use of that space except that the most restrictive application provisions of Section 403 and Chapter 9 (see below) shall apply to these nonseparated uses. Fire Separations are not required between uses except as required by other provisions. Egress shall not pass through kitchens, storage rooms, closets or spaces used for similar purposes. An exit access shall not pass through a room that can be locked to prevent egress. Means of egress from dwelling units or sleeping areas shall not lead through other sleeping areas, toilet rooms or bathrooms. EXIT OR EXIT ACCESS DOORWAYS REQUIRED. Two exits or exit access doorways from any space shall be provided where one of the following conditions exists: 1. The occupant load of the space exceeds the values in Table 1015.1. 2.
