Dear Craig:
Over the past few months, numerous concerns over pedestrian safety along
NYS Route 25 have been raised with the Supervisor and the Transportation
Commisssion. Chief among these were requests for two pedestrian walkways in
Mattituck (possible locations at the school or library, near Love Lane, at New
Suffolk Avenue or Bay Avenue) and one in Southold (near the Southold
Pharmacy). In addition, there is need to consider placing "no right on red light"
signs at the intersection of NYS Route 25 and Youngs Avenue to ensure safe
crossings by our senior citizens. Enclosed are copies of the pertinent
documentation.
Thank you for your anticipated attention to the requested changes for a safer
Southold.
Sincerely,
Neboysha R. Brashich
