The property landward of the 10-foot elevation contour interval, as shown on the survey prepared by John C. Ehlers last revised on 11/3/02, is beyond the jurisdiction of Article 25 (Tidal Wetlands). Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Land Use Regulations (6 NYCRR Part 661) no permit is required under the Tidal Wetlands Act. WHEREAS, Architecnologies on behalf of CHRISTOPHER & GLORIA GROOCOCK applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated November 29, 2001 WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and WHEREAS, a Public Heating was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on January 23, 2002 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code. 2 WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT. RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approved the application of Christopher & Gloria Groocock for a Wetland Permit to construct an addition to the existing first and second floor with the stipulation that there will be drywells and gutters on the addition to catch the roof run- off also include a dock 48 feet in length with ramp and a float as per plans and the pilings be no greater than 6"x6" and the (one) handrail be no greater than 3 feet above the decking of the dock. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination made for any other Department or Agency, which may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. Fee must be paid, if applicable and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.
