I think I see now what's happening. The portion of the fence that runs parallel to our property line is the issue in question. In the plan you sent, it appears the fence was approved to run set-back from our shared property line, enclosing the perimeter of the pool and the equipment (filter, etc). However, it looks like what they did was build the fence to enclose a larger area. The result of this is that the big fence runs right up against our split rail fence. I'm attaching a picture here. This is taken from our property, facing pool (which you cannot see as it is behind the fenced area). Does this make sense? Or maybe am I misreading the document. I will also note that some of our split rail seems to have taken some damage. For example, I noticed someone used wire or something to prop up part of our fence to a tree, which is not something my wife or I had done. I only noticed this when I went over to look at this new fence. Thank you again for your help.
