Below you will find a list of all the events that have taken place at the Human Resource
Center (HRC) during the month of August 2009. The events have been divided into three
categories, which include Health Promotion, Presentations/Special Events and Staff
Activities.
Health Promotion
1. Senior Wellness Education Series Presentation “Identification and Treatment of

Depression in Older Adults on August 7.

4. Tai Chi & Qi Gong Exercise Workshops with Denise Gilles on August 21 and

Presentation/Special Events

1. Trip to Riverhead Farmers Market on August 27 for seniors to utilize Farmers
Market Coupons issued from SCOFA.
Staff Activities
1. All HRC and Katinka Staff members attended the mandatory Workplace Violence

training on August 20.
The weekly computer class and weekly movie were continuously offered throughout the
month of August. **The Tai Chi & Qi Gong exercise workshop started on Friday August
st
21 and is scheduled every Friday thereafter. Please let me know if you have any
