Facilitated Housing Advisory Commission (HAC) meeting along with dissemination of minutes. ?? Interviewed two applicants for one HAC vacancy. All vacancies filled. Youth: ?? Facilitated Youth Bureau Board meeting along with dissemination of minutes. ?? Coordinated Family Movie Nite in the Park event. ?? Interviewed ten applicants for Youth Advisory Council membership. ?? Facilitated site visit with students for Suffolk County Department of Labor’s Summer Works program. In addition, interviewed students on their last day for program evaluation. ?? With Supervisor, facilitated meeting with superintendents of schools for support of development of survey for Carolyn Peabody, Anti Bias Taskforce. ?? Visited studios of East End Student Film Project. ?? Met with Dr. Cheeseman, superintendent Mercy-McGann High School, to discuss Youth Bureau and develop strategies to ensure their participation. ?? With several Youth Board members, met with Charlie Meyers (Fishers Island superintendent) to discuss Youth Bureau and ways to integrate youth activities between the mainland and the island. ?? Met with Mary Jo Weinig to discuss afterschool learning opportunities for youth. ?? Attended End End Youth Leadership Summit planning meeting. Workplace Violence Prevention: ?? Facilitated six training opportunities for staff to fulfill mandated annual training. Loss Control Program and Executive Safety Committee: ?? Modified draft of “Town of Southold Emergency Evacuation Policies and Procedures” via Department Head feedback. Community Development Block Grant: ?? Attended Suffolk County meeting for CDBG directors regarding fulfillment of 2009 grant obligations and development of 2010 expectations. Comprehensive Plan: ?? Met with Heather Lanza to develop preliminary steps to accomplish plan. Other: ?? Assisted with preparations of public forum on intrusive noise at the Recreation Center.
