The Minutes of the August 18, 1992 meeting stand as read. Old Business: Simicich property - After reconsidering his comparable sales, the appraiser's price on 30 acres is $294,000, down from $300,000. Spectacle Ridge - formerly Wolf/Point - the current owner is Mark Lieb from Greenwich, Connecticut. He purchased an adjoining strip of land from the Catholic Church. With the additional acreage, it is now offered as 18.79 acres. San Andres Vineyard - there has been a reduction in the acreage submitted. The owners are David Saland and Luis San Andres. This revised application is part of the owners' efforts to bring their debt under control following the bankruptcy of their creditor bank, which is now under the supervision of Reconstruction Trust Corp. -2- Sepenoski property - a farm in Southold - 51.5 acres at $6000 per acre - a total of $309,000. It is northwest of the Dickerson property. Art asked the committee to review this appraisal for the next meeting. Gillispie/Alford property in Orient - The Farmland Preservation Committee received their application back in 1990 and it was appraised at that time. Andy Stype did an update on this appraisal. Art asked Gerry Dennehy to check with Andy regarding his appraisal with particular reference to the waterfront acreage. Art asked the committee to study the acreage and prices on the above 5 properties so that the committee can recommend some of them to the Town Board for purchase. Regarding the Moody property - Art will write to the Town Board. The Town Board requested committee review of the Baxter offer to sell 21.7 acres, including "Fort Corchaug" as open space for one million dollars. We need a formal application. All previous con- siderations of this land for open space were handled directly by the Board without reference to the committee. Art will set up a meeting with Mr. William Baxter. The next meeting of the Southold Town /and Preservation Committee will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at $outhold Town Hall. With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m. Respectfully submitted, ~oyce M. Wilkins, Secretary Southold Town Land Preservation Committee
