· On going trail maintenance on Laurel Lake, Downs Farm,
Arshamomaque, Arshamomaque Pond, Dam Pond and Mill Road
Preserves.
· Reviewing the bids, in reference to the Peconic School Building
Renovation Project.
· Attended a meeting with Mark Terry and Jamie Richter on the
Goldsmith Inlet Management Plan.
· Attended several meetings at the Animal Shelter, in reference to
work to be done by DPW at the completion of construction of the
facility.
· Prepared the Contracts for the Bittner Preserve Grant, in reference
to removal of the house, pool and bulkhead.
· Meetings in reference to Streetlight Reconciliation Project. Tim
Abrams is working on the project with a completion date scheduled
for September 2009.
· Moved sheds at the Animal Shelter.
· Work started on the replacement of 3 exterior doors at the
Southold Town Hall.
· Set up preparation for the "Green Fest" at the Strawberry Fields
Fairgrounds.
· The baseball fields maintenance at Laurel, Old School House Park,
Cochran and Tasker Parks for Little League, Women's Softball,
All-Star games, and the new Collegiate Baseball League.
· Preparing the 2010 Budgets for DPW, CPF Stewardship Program,
Shellfish Program and Community Development Block Grant
Program.
· Submitted applications for funding for the 2010 Youth Bureau and
Juvenile Aid Bureau.
· Held a Public Information Meeting in reference to the demolition
and removal of building and bulkhead at the Bittner Preserve, as
part of the requirements of the NYSDOS grant.
· Attended a meeting of the Recreation Committee
· Attended a meeting of the LWRP Committee.
· Meeting with Supervisor, Legislator Romaine and East End
Lighthouse in reference to the disposal of Little Gull Light Station
by the National Park Service.
· Meetings with Melissa Spirt in reference to the 2010 CPF
Stewardship Budget.
· Attended a Stormwater Committee meeting.
· Painted (5) fuel containment tanks at the Highway Department and
Police Department.
· Installed a RCA blend parking lot at the Laurel Lake Preserve,
funded by a grant from NYS Parks, Recreation and Historic
Preservation.
· The westerly ~ of the Town Beach Parking Lot has been oiled and
stoned, as per our agreement with the contractor who used this
area for a drainage project on Route 48.
