Dear Mr. Orlowski:
Since my discussion with the Planning Board on March 3, 1997,
regarding my proposed farmstand operation, I have met with Mr. Vito
Lena, Highway Permits Engineer, of the Department of
Transportation, who has made suggestions regarding the
ingress/egress to my proposed site. I have submitted a plan to the
DOT and await their answer. It is my understanding that with the
DOT's approval of my improvements that the Planning Board has no
further objection to my proposed operation as long as I fulfill the
site plan requirements.
Although this process has become more cumbersome than I had
originally anticipated, I have in no way abandoned my original plan
of operating a farmstand on my property in East Marion. I look
forward to the next opportunity to discuss my progress with you and
the Board.

Dear Mr. Orlowski and Members of the Planning Board:
I request permission to establish and operate a farmstand on my
property, tax map number 31.-13-10.1, East Marion.
I intend to sell produce grown on my property from a roadside stand
and from my barn. I have indicated, on the enclosed site plan, the
location of the farmstand, the barn and parking areas (4 spaces per
location at 10' x 20' per space) as required. Parking areas will
be loose stone or chip as required. I also enclose a rendering and
general specifications of the proposed farmstand structure. The
structure will be built according to Southold Town Building code
governing such structures.
I look forward to the Planning Board's approval of the
establishment operation of my farmstand and support of my plan to
maintain the agricultural nature of my property, which has been
farmed periodically since its purchase by my great-great uncle
Alfred B. Edwards in 1905.
