Thank you for bringing our attention to the illegal sign erected at the above referenced
address. As you already know, based on the information you supplied to this office, Code
Enforcement Officer Edward Forrester issued a violation to the property owner and
required that the owner apply immediately to the Southold Town Building Department.
In early July, the property owner complied with the violation order and applied for a sign
permit. Subsequently, as you know, I issued a Notice of Disapproval to the applicant
because this particular sign is not permitted in the Agricultural Conservation (AC)
District.
At this time the illegal sign remains an issue with Southold Town Code Enforcement,
Zoning Board of Appeals and Building Department. No action by the planning
department is required at this time. ~

installed. We completed a site visit and took pictures.
