Dear Ms. Androus:
The Board of Trustees inspected the above referenced property, as per your request, at
their May 11, 2005 field inspection.
The area that you indicated on your survey and marked on your property with string, and
refer to as "brash" in your letter is protected wetland buffer. It contains native high
marsh vegetation that is protected under Town and State law. These areas are very
important buffer areas to Town creeks, wetlands, and Peconic Bay in order to provide
habitat for many species, contain storm waters, and buffer the waters from pollutants.
Please be award that removal or trimming of any of these wetland areas may result in a
violation with fines up to $4000.00.
Thank you very much for contacting this office and requesting the inspection. Enclosed is
a copy of Chapter 97 Wetlands Code to make you aware of the regulations for wetlands
and other natural protective features in our Town.

As per our conversation, we are planning to reclaim a
small portion of our property. Since the prior owners were absent a
portion of the property became a dumping ground by the creek
near to Norman Klip beach. We are planning to clean the trash in
the brush, add top soil and grass.
Please let me know by mail or phone, at your
convenience that these small house keeping issues are in line with
the town rules.
I have included the home survey and the area we are talking about
is highlighted

Enclosed please find the $50 check for the inspection to
be done May t! on our property
We will mark the area for easy reference, as you
suggested. As Z marked on the survey, the area to be
reviewed is the far right side and the far end from the
street, next to my neighbor, not on Manhasset Ave.
