INSTRUCTIONS
a. ~s application MUST be completely filled in by t~ewriter or in i~ and submitted to the Build~g Nspector with 4
sets of plans, acetate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, ~d wate~ays.
c. ~e work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Pe~it.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Nspector will issue a Building Pe~it to the applic~t. Such a pe~it
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection ~oughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or N p~ for any p~ose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Ce~ificate of Occup~cy.
f. Eve~ buil~ng pe~it shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months ~om such date. If no zo~ng mendments or other re~lations affecting the
prope~y have been enacted in the interim, the Building ~spector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the pe~it for an
addition six months. Therea~er, a new pemit shall be required.

The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the plans prepared by
Fairweather-Brown Design Assoc., Inc. dated February 12, 2006 and determined
the dormer addition to the existing dwelling to be Exempt under Chapter 275 of
the Town Wetland Code.

REASONS FOR BOARD ACTION. DESCRIBED BELOW; On the basis of testimony presented.

detriment to nearby properties because bu~ing enveloge as proposed is in keeping with
as approved by the Town Trustees.
(2) The benefit sought cannot be achieved by some method, feasible for the applicant fo
pursue other than a vartem=e because compliance v~th the code ~vould rende~ the lot
unbuildabld end moving the envelope would require fur~er variancas.
(3) The amount of relief requested is not substantial.
(4) The vahance will not have an adverse effect or impact on the physical or environmental
conditions in the nalghbori~x:d or district.
(5) The action set forth below is the minimum necessary end at the same ~ne pmservas end
protects the chareoter of t~e neighborhood and the health, safety and welfare of the
community.
