Dear Mr. Terry: In making application for a trailer permit I would like to state that I do not plan to go into the trailer rental business. We have one or two retired couples who are friends of ours. They are former Long Island r~idents, but now live in Florida. They would l~tke to come to East Marion for a few months in the s,,mmer during their retirement. They would bring their own trailer aha stay on our property. We would be doing this as a favor to friends rather than as a business. They have not issued any new trailer permits in the past three years or more~ and X doubt that they will in the future as a minimum floor area of 8%0 sq ft is now required for living area. I am enclosing application form~ IF you want to apply~ in the event it is turned down the $ %.00 fee will be returned. Also while I am writing to yOUlo~OUt have a "for rent" sign on the premises that must be moved back the front of the oottage and out of the highway right of way~ every sign in the Town will now have to comply with the zoning ordinance & state law. I own about six acres of land on the Main Road about ~ mile east of the East Marion post- office. We ~ve friends who might want to park a trailer there for two or three months next summer.
