Dear Ms. Duffy,
The Planning Board has inspected your site at Mill Lane Peconic and
your plans for an upgrade of equipment.
A site plan will not be required for this upgrade. However, if after the
upgrade, the Board may receive complaints from neighbors that the site is
not properly buffered from their view. Therefore, the the Board requests
a letter stating that if complaints are received after the upgrade, LIPA
will provide additional evergreen screening at the site.

We are writing to inquire about a possible Waiver or Letter of No Jurisdiction under
the site plan regulations with regard to our proposed upgrade of equipment in our electric
substation located at Mill Lane, Peconic.
Enclosed for your review is a site plan map and substation plan view which show the
areas to be upgraded circled. Please note that the facility will remain within the existing
fence enclosure and will not expand into any other area. The use of the property will remain
the same as an electric utility substation.
