I live at 610 Main Street in Orccnport. I'm writing to comment on motorcycle traffic and
noise,
Just last Sunday, as I was leaving my house, About lO0 motorcycles rode past in a two by
Two formation, The noise was deafening for a long time. I then proceeded to drive to
Jamcsport on the North road and saw no less than 100 more c~cles heading East in
batches.
From late Spring through the Fall, the noise of these cycles is jarring and di~-uptive.
I have even seeia some of the riders rev their motor just because they saw me in my yard.
This is a quality of living issue. The noise from thc everyday (especial y weekend] traffic
F~om cars is quite constant and enough. I cannot leave n'q, window,~ open in Ihe summer:
Please seriously comideer an outright ban on cycles without mufflers in this town, and it
must be enforced. There is a helmet law, why not a muffler law??
1 realize that ~,laudio's makes a lot of money from these folks, but this is my home, not a
motorcycle rallying place.
Noise pollution is still pollution,
