3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Sworn statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains le~s than 2/10 of I% lead.
5. Commemial building, indnstrial building, muitiple residencea and similar buildings and installations, a certificate
of Code Compliance from architect or engineer responsible for the building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requir~neats.

INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application MUST be completely filled in by typewriter or in i~k and submitted to the Building Inspector with 4
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterways.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced betbre issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or
Regulations, for the construction of buildings, additions, or alterations or for removal or demolition as herein described. The
applicant agrees to comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, building code, housing code, and regulations, and to admit
authorized inspectors on premises and in building for necessary inspections.

Operation: Sash shall be counterbalanced to remain in
any place during operation. Both sashes shall tilt in for clean-
ing exterior glass surface.
Materials: All vinyl extrusions shall be rigid 100% virgin
PVC. Frame and sash rails shall have a main wall thickness of
0.075". Frame profile shall have six tubular hollows for
strength and thermal efficiency. Sash profiles shall have four
tubular hollows.
Frame construction: Frame shall be either fitted with a
head expander and sill extension or ultrasonic point welded
with nailing fin or J trim. All corners shall be mitered and fusion
welded. Frame depth shall be 3.250'.
Sash construction: All sash corners shall be mitered
and fusion welded. There shall be integral interlock at the
meeting rail. Width over 40" shall have metal reinforcements at
meeting rails.
Glazing: Both sashes shall utilize 7/8" thick insulating glass
consisting of two sheets of 3/32" thick clear annealed gla.~l
and a desiccant filled metal spacer system (intercept insulM-~1
lng unit). A butyl sealant shall be extruded around the enti~
perimeter of the spacer to achieve a seal. Both sashes shrift
be intedor glazed, back bedded with silicone, and utiliz~

durometer snap-in glazing beads. L O
Screen construction: Standard screen shall be a half
screen. The screen rails shall be extruded of aluminum with all
corners keyed. The screen mesh shall be held-in-place with a
flexible spline.
Hardware: Sash balances shall be factory calibrated spiral
balances. Balance rods shall be inserted into the slot of the
shoe which lock in place once sash is tilted in. Sash lock shall
be cam type and finished to match the vinyl extrusion coloc
Sash lock shall be fastened at the lock rail by two self-tapping
color matched screws. Double locks standard on window
widths over 24". Two vent locks shall be located on upper sash
for opening the window partially.
Weatherstripping: High-density woven pile shall be
used in combination with continuous polyethylene rigid seal to
minimize air infiltration.
Finish: Shall be solid vinyl in off white.
Options: Grids - Colonial, Georgian and Diamond
aluminum in-glass in white, bronze or two tone (green-
white or bronze-white), are available. Glazing - Swiggle glass
units, obscure wire, clear wire, frosted, Low-E, Argon titled
Low-E, and special tempered glass can be used. Field mulled
or lactory mulled units are available. Nailing fin can be
